As soon as Dad contacted me to be his Hawaii Islands family photographer while they were here on vacation, I knew this session was going to be epic. The energy he exuded just from his emails was amazing, and I was super pumped waiting to do this session.

As soon as I met this family, I fell in love with their two girls. The oldest daughter had her hair done prior to the shoot and had even sprinkled a little pixie dust in her hair—OMG are they not the cutest girls ever?!

I had such a good time with these kids! We had a good mix of posing, silly smiles, and even a little Ring-Around-the-Rosy. While we were playing in the palm trees waiting for the sun to set, I managed to sneak a few photos of just Mom and Dad together—they were so sweet!

When it came time to watch the sun set, really, it could not have been more perfect. I was able to shoot some silhouette shots of them as the sun was setting, and Dad really must have liked that image, because as soon as he saw it, he immediately told his wife, “I know exactly where I will hang that one!”
