What an amazing family! I was contacted by Heather a few weeks before our session, and she told me that her family was in desperate need of new photos. It had been years since their last session together.

At the same time, Heather’s husband contacted me without her knowledge via email before the session. He had just bought a new ring and wanted to re-propose to her at the end of the session. Apparently, they got married pretty young and did not have the chance for a wedding, so he wanted to start the whole process over—first with the proposal and then a vow renewal hopefully this summer. What a sweet gesture!

We did the session out at the Bellows, and the weather was certainly in our favor. As we neared the end of the session, Dad had the kids come in, but not too close, for “one more special photo.” Then, he got down on his knee, and Heather lost it, asking him, “What the heck are you doing? OMG get up off the sand! Are you serious? Are you serious?” And then he gave her the most beautiful rose gold wedding ring. To say she was shocked was an understatement! He was known for being a big of a jokester, so she was not sure if he was being serious.
