Adding a new baby into the family always comes with a period of adjustments of settling, but these two siblings embraced their roles as big brother and big sister right away! They could not wait to take photos with their brand new addition. Baby Faith is so very loved by the best parents and amazing siblings. At the newborn stage, babies seem to be in a perpetual growth spurt, so she wasn’t really feeling her first photo shoot. But as she settled in with her loving family, she contentedly dozed off into Dreamland.

The Perfect Day for a Newborn Session

Little Faith has the most adorable thick hair, sweet cheeks and tiny lips—all the irresistible newborn attributes. She modeled floral and beaded headbands, simple and not overpowering on her precious face. We also tried out a fun black and white striped background with teal flowers and poppies. Although we can’t see her full personality just yet, the background seemed to fit her perfectly.

During the sibling photos, Faith’s older brother and sister leaned in to kiss her. I could almost see the hint of a sleepy smile on her face as their lips grazed the top of her head. It’s very apparent that she already feels at home with them, her forever protectors.

We also took some very sweet family portraits and family combinations. I really loved how simple we kept these newborn and family portraits. Nothing was overdone. Without excess props, the family’s love and excitement for their new bundle of joy stands out even more. As a family photographer, I always strive to capture and highlight the people, their personalities, and their interactions with each other above all else. This family is so blessed to have such a deep love for each other. Welcome to the world, baby Faith!
