Even without the bump, I can usually recognize the look of “babymooners”—couples who take time to relax and get away before all of the excitement of a new baby hits. They always have an expectant, eager glow about them (well, that and the fact that they usually aren’t the ones out parasailing and learning to surf…). A vacation to the Aloha state is the perfect place to do a maternity session. With stress of everyday melted away, couples are free to relax and enjoy the time capturing this short but momentous phase.

Memories and Moments Captured in Time

The Kingston family came all the way from Texas to visit our beautiful island. While they were here, they took the opportunity to do a maternity session. Their little boy will be coming in just a few short months, making them a family of three!

We headed out to Waimanalo Beach for a gorgeous turquoise blue water session. The sky was perfect for the session. The sun hid some of its brilliance behind majestic, fluffy clouds. Waves rolled in peacefully. This beach also has some unique scenic rocks along the shore that make for some eye-catching pictures. I really loved the outfits they chose: She wore a couple of flowy, beachy dresses that beautifully showed off her growing bump. She also included a very cute floral aloha-themed dress to pair with her husband’s aloha wear. These photos will be great keepsakes for sure! During that first year of night feedings and diaper changes, they can pull out these photos and imagine themselves back on the shores of Hawaii!

There isn’t much more beautiful than an expecting mama’s bump and the smile on daddy-to-be’s face. As a Kingston Family Maternity Photographer, the opportunity to capture that beauty is an absolute dream come true.
