Hawaii is one of the most romantic and adventurous places on earth (in my opinion after many years here). Vanessa and Jasmine have had the amazing opportunity to spend several years in Hawaii together, courtesy of the US Army. A few months ago, the couple found out they are expecting TWINS! As they were getting ready to make a move to Texas with the military, Vanessa contacted me to do their maternity shoot. She really wanted to have some beach photos done to commemorate the wonderful years that they have spent here in Hawaii and to celebrate the place that their family started!

Excited Smiles and Salty Kisses

I was on the verge of tears as I watched how ecstatic Vanessa’s wife Jasmine was about the pregnancy. You could tell that she was really soaking in the moment. She loved being able to touch and kiss Vanessa’s growing bump. This phase goes so fast, and I love when couples take time to document it so they can remember back to the time right before their family bloomed.

The pictures are stunning. The foamy waves gently rolled in, and the massive, looming clouds created a striking affect against the setting sun (interesting fact, clouds generally provide better pictures than clear blue skies). And you could tell that Vanessa and Jasmine were comfortable in front of the lens, focused on each other and the magic of the moment. It was beautiful.

Despite the crunch time around the move, the ladies did a gender reveal after the session, and they are expecting a boy and a girl! What a blessing! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this sweet family.
