When I talked with Kaitlyn’s mom, Danielle, a few weeks before we were scheduled for a senior portrait session, we talked about how Kaitlyn wanted something that still screamed “Hawaii” without going for the usual beach photos. Luckily, I knew just the place: Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, the perfect mix of mountains, water, and greenery.
Kaitlyn wanted to get some good Hawaii pictures before she left because she plans to head for the mainland to go to college. She wants to become a registered nurse, and I know she will be amazing at it! She has such a kind soul, and I just think it’s such an amazing goal for her to have.
During our session, we had a gorgeous morning—perfect for taking pictures. We headed down to the lake for some of the pictures and then also spent some time on one of the gorgeous bridges the park has to offer. We also took some pictures on a road with trees that formed an arch overhead.
Thank you, Danielle, for trusting me to capture these memories for your daughter! Kaitlyn, thank you so much for being a great sport, even when mom wanted to keep fixing your hair. 🙂
