I had both a one-year-old session and Ella’s sweet two-year session this week, and WOW what difference a year makes! Kiddos grow so very fast in their first five years. No wonder their parents want to capture every minute of it!
A Piggy-Tail Princess
I love when kids hit that two-year mark and are ready to graduate from studio portraits to outdoor sessions! Random fields like this are my favorite to shoot in. The little-known ones are the best because we don’t have to work around a crowd and people haven’t trampled down the golden blades of grass. The sun was perfect giving us just the right glow, and the grass softly blew in the wind. The serene atmosphere made for the perfect session. I wanted to grab a pumpkin spice latte and enjoy this magical fall moment.
But the location was not nearly and gorgeous as little Ella. This two-year-old was cute as could be in her ruffled outfit and cowgirl boots! Her blonde pigtails peeked out of the tall grass. When she smiled back at us with her bright blue eyes and pearly smile, my heart just melted. She looked like such a little lady waltzing down the trail in her boots like she was queen of the ranch! She seemed to love the outdoors and had no trouble exploring the place as I followed her around like paparazzi. The colors her mom went with were just perfect—the bright teal and cheerful yellow popped against the fall-colored field. I would have a hard time deciding which adorable images to hang up—my walls would be filled! This girl was a natural little model. Happy birthday, sweetie!
