I met the Williams family a few years ago and was lucky enough to do a beachside photography session with them when their kids were much younger. But now that the time has come for them to say Aloha to the Aloha State and head back to the mainland, they wanted to do another session before they left. And of course, I was only too happy to help, even if I am sad to see them go.

This time, when we set out for another amazing photo session, we went to the east side of the island for a little greenery as well as some ocean shots. We started out in the greenery with the sun coming in just to the side of us—which made for some fantastic shots! After that, we made our way to the beach, where we had such a great cloud cover that really set the photos off.

I also have to say that I personally enjoyed this session for the chance to get to see the kids and how they’ve grown over the past few years. They were so full of personality, which made this session even more fun. It’s always fun to see families grow, especially to see kids become their own little people. It’s one of the joys of my job as a photographer.
