This beautiful family came to visit the Hawaiian Islands from California. I was more than happy to capture some lovely pictures of all of them together enjoying their vacation while they were here.

We set out to Kapolei, on the west side of Oahu to catch the gorgeous colors of the sky at sunset. Seriously, the light at the end of the session was simply stunning! It was great for grabbing some photos of Mom and Dad. Usually, when I do family sessions, I find that Mom and Dad haven’t gotten photos together just the two of them since they were married, so I always make it a point to get the two of them together for some updated images. Don’t forget to get photos of yourself during family sessions—they are just as important as family photos!

They had the most gorgeous children, too. Mom had dressed the whole family so beautifully, including herself—her beautiful dress really popped when the sun set behind us! Her daughter was also a little model, and I didn’t have to ask her twice to pose. I love it when I get kids who are willing to ham it up for the camera. I couldn’t get enough of all of them—these kids really knew how to have a good time. When families have fun together, it makes for the best images.
