I have known the family for many years now. (In fact, I knew Wyatt when he was still in Mommy’s tummy—he was actually one of my very first Honolulu Newborn Photography clients!) Wyatt has occupied a special place on my webpage for years, too—with a super cool photo of him in a fedora. Soon after I captured Wyatt’s first few milestones, duty called and whisked the family away, but I was able to keep in touch with them via social media, so I have still been able to watch Wyatt grow.
A few months ago, Mom contacted me to let me know that they would be taking a family trip back to the islands, and she wanted to finally update their family photos. So, we went out to one of my favorite shooting locations, and we had a beautiful night! The sun was hidden behind some beautiful cloud cover.
I actually talked Mom into getting a few pictures together with her and Dad. Man, that is a difficult task! She does NOT like to be in front of a camera! Oh, my gorgeous friend, I think it was worth it. We got several good shots of the rest of the family, and Grandma even jumped into a few photos!
Marie & Wey, thanks for coming to visit and letting me be part of documenting your lives! I can’t wait for your next visit to Hawaii—hopefully it won’t take another 3 years. Thank you so much for sticking with me while I have grown through my photography adventure. Stay warm out there on the East Coast!
