I love newborn photo sessions! They portray such a pivotal time in a family—the long-awaited bundle of joy has arrived, but at the same time the parents are eager to find out who this new little person is. What will her personality be like? Will she take after Mom or Dad or have a balance of both? What activities will she enjoy, and what new adventures will she inspire her family to take? This tiny, sleepy baby represents so much!
A Sweetly Sound Sleeper
Baby Noelle came to me a little over 3 weeks old to my Honolulu photography studio. As hard as she tried to stay awake and check out her surroundings, she just couldn’t keep her tiny eyelids open. She slept soundly as we swaddled and positioned her, completely oblivious to her very first photo shoot. Momma brought haku flowers to adorn her precious head and some beautiful hibiscus florals to use in the baskets. Noelle’s daddy is a proud Marine, so it was only fitting to include a few shots with her on his uniform. The first family portraits at the end are my favorites. The smiles on both of their faces just say it all about parenthood. Their faces radiate happiness and adoration.
One day, Noelle’s parents will pull these photos back out and remember a time when their family was just beginning—a time filled with sleepless nights and diapers but also lots of love and excitement about the future for their little girl and their family. Noelle will be able to see that she was the most special thing in the world to them.
What a treat it was to have this little angel in my studio! Being her Oahu Newborn Studio Photographer was truly an absolute joy:)
