Nadine and her wife Afarin were planning a trip to the Islands for a belated honeymoon. She reached out to me a few weeks before they arrived on vacation. You see, if you can believe it, they did not have any wedding photos, as they made a quick dash to the courthouse to officially marry. Learning this, I knew I had to make these portraits special!

We got to the beach for a sunset session and I was greeted with such gorgeous colors in the sky—and two very nervous women. So I took a few photos of them posed and eased them into having formal photos taken. Before I knew it, we were running down the beach, they were splashing each other and just having an amazing time. We had such beautiful colors to play with in the sky, I had to get them nice and close and grab a few silhouettes.

Afarin and Nadine—you ladies just knocked me out with your love, affection, and admiration for each other. I hope that these photos beat those courthouse selfies. 🙂
