A few months ago, Kay and I spoke about family portraits, because she had mentioned that they were leaving the island. They wanted to have photos to remember their time on Oahu.

Kay and I had been friends for a while. We always chatted about photography, because she eventually wants to start a business, and she has a growing passion for photography! I will definitely miss her.

We met up for their session the day before they planned to leave the island, so we were all praying that it would not rain. Things were not looking good because we were stuck in the middle of a week of solid rain. And then we met up, and the sky was gray and cloudy. But no rain over us! Luckily, we just had a gorgeous night and even a small breakthrough of the sun at the end of the session, which painted the sky a beautiful orange color!

They just have the most beautiful daughters, and I love photographing them! We even snuck in some photos of Mom and Dad alone together!

Mahalo, Cormier family! I am so sad that your Oahu chapter has come to a close, but I’m also excited for your next adventure! I hope I’ll see you guys when I visit the mainland!
