I was so excited to meet Baby Tyler! I spoke with Mom several months before he was due to make his arrival, and she told me all about his room. They were putting together a theme that was a mixture of old-fashioned planes and giraffes—Dad is a pilot in the military, so we definitely wanted to find a way to incorporate planes into the session.

I picked up an old-fashioned airplane drop from Fancy Fabrics and Props and knew it would be perfect for this session, especially because Mom had sent me a photo of the blue plane she wanted to bring beforehand. I was so excited!

Once Tyler arrived, he was just a dream. He slept so peacefully in the variety of buckets, baskets, and planes that I put him in—doesn’t he look so peaceful and sweet in the bird basket? I also got Mom to pose with him in one of my favorite mommy-and-child poses, and Grandma and Grandpa even got in on the fun with some photos with their new grandson!
