The Sallee Family came to visit Oahu this summer from the East Coast of the mainland, and I was thrilled to capture a family photography session for them to commemorate their family trip!

It was another gorgeous night to match a stunning family for me as we headed out to the west side of the island for an evening beach session. I don’t think they could have asked for a better evening to do their pictures. By the end of the session, when I was doing pictures with Mom and Dad, the color in the sky and the chemistry between them made it all happen. I must say, those couple’s pictures were simply amazing!

This family has just the cutest children! Their little boy has the most amazing surfer boy-style hair, and their daughter . . . gosh, she has the sweetest cheeks and prettiest eyes. I couldn’t get enough of working with these two!

Even though we had a bit of a high tide during the session, we made it work, despite getting wet halfway through. In fact, the kids ended up having a blast playing in the water and building sandcastles. The whole feeling of being out in the sunshine in wet clothes somehow combined to make the memories even sweeter. It was a perfect evening with a perfect family, and I loved every moment with these beautiful people—inside and out!
