Ashley and Jensen were married on April 20^th in a beautiful ceremony on the north shore.

I have known Ashley for about 9 years now, and I can still remember when she was just 19! I’ve seen her through so much—when she met Jensen, when she got pregnant with Evelyn and then Maverick. So many milestones.

Then, one day she told me that she and Jensen were finally getting married. When I asked when the wedding was, she said, “Oh, next week, Wednesday, in the morning in the backyard.” She kept telling me all about how she didn’t want anything big. She didn’t even have a fancy dress, because she wanted it to be very simple.

I couldn’t wait to see pictures from her day, and then later on, she asked me, “So what are you doing next Wednesday evening?”

“Wait, evening?” I asked. “I thought you said morning in the backyard!”

Well, it turns out her parents suggested that she should get married on the beach at sunset—and of course, I was honored to be the photographer for such a moment! 

We met out on the north shore at a private little beach that she and Jensen frequent. Her father, an ordained minister, married them. The entire time, Ashely said that she wasn’t going to cry, and while she managed to keep from actual tears, she sure showed so much emotion! After the ceremony, we took some gorgeous shots on the beach until the sun was no longer visible.
